so… so . Hm… what about exes to lovers ? What do we think of chngbn moving away for work, because he got the best opportunity he could have ever gotten abroad after college and chn understood, begged him to “never forget about me, yeah?” But they lost contact, the time difference was harsh on them and the distance to grand for travelling back and forth all the time… so now you skip some time… they’re both in their 35’s, chn is a dad to the cutest little girl ever, but him and his ex separated (on good terms!!) because it just wasn’t working out the way it should work out… and chngbn comes back, he got promoted back to a higher position in Seoul, he’s single because he focused on his career. He did have a partner for a few years but when his job got too much, too time consuming he preferred to end the relationship before it got too hard for his partner, right?
So now he’s back, and he’s changed so much.. he runs into chan on a random Tuesday morning, it was so random they both just freeze there, looking at each other until a little voice goes “uh dad?” And changbin just… looks down and sees the cutest little girl with butterfly bows in her hair :( “oh”
and chan just blushes so deep, because.. well because he eyes changbin up and down, sees his well defined muscles, the width of his chest and shoulders and he’s a bit shocked because the last time he had seen changbin he was skinnier, his chin was was pointier and now his cheeks are round and chan feels like his love struck self from ten years ago.. “changbin- what-”
and they.. they exchange phone numbers “ okay i have to get her to school, please if you’re free- can you wait for me, here? I would be back in 15 minutes at most”
And changbin agrees because.. he has nothing else to do, really, and chan has grey hairs leaking from his curls, and his tank top highlight his muscles…. And chan comes back, and they catch up “so you have a kid now?”
“Yeah, but her mom and i aren’t together.”
And it’s like.. it’s like they always knew. Always knew that they were meant to be with each other because in the span of a few weeks, changbin makes times from his job and he doesn’t care about it, he just wants to spend time his chan. So he does, and chan still laughs as deep and as pretty as he did ten years ago, he still hugs changbins arm when he finds him funny, he still cares so much - too much, always too much

And then.. then they kiss. Once, after dinner when chan’s daughter is at his ex’s house. “Bin- I’m so sorry” changbin isn’t. He missed him, he never knew what the emptiness on his heart was caused by, but with chan’s full lips on his, with the way he still whines when he gets kissed deep and meaningful he understands now — that chan was the one all along, that maybe, maybe they were just meant to be.
