hello! i was wondering what’s your criteria on g and t ratings on ao3. i feel like m and e ratings are pretty understandable but g gets a bit vague. like, what classifies as something no longer for general audiences?
hm, look at it this way, t is also what used to be known as pg-13.
so personally anything i don't think should be in material for little children, i automatically tag as t. ie. swearing, kisses that arent just lips chastely pressing against each other, more complicated feelings (angst), etc.
meanwhile my g fics are all very wholesome. stuff i wouldn't mind a 7 year old reading, and stuff i think anyone below the age of 13 would likely understand and comprehend easily.
