prompt: tearsgirl. like a slimegirl or a bloodgirl but specifically tears
there are people who've forgotten what it's like to cry. people who know sadness, but not catharsis. they've forgotten what it's like to crash down at the bottom of great waterfalls and come back up as the scattered spume. they only walk in light, tickling rains; they unknowingly evade the great downpours, sometimes by mere seconds. they've come to assume drops hit roofs harder than heads.
invariably, eventually, they do crack. by mere chance a crueler shower finds them. drenches their light clothes, plunges them into the deep. and they can't help but cry. and when they do, she's there.
loud, ugly sobs. the kind that tear their way out of you forcefully, that you couldn't stop if you thought to try. where each inhale is a mere short reprieve before another coming onslaught. she's there, and she keeps you hydrated, and you keep her hydrated.
she goes as quickly as she comes. your last sobs leave you, and your face is left dry. you feel like something's been taken from you. but looking out your window, hearing the sky's heaviness lull, you at a moment of blue in the patchwork. and like it wasn't there at all - rain intensifies once again.
I got this one done like, a week ago, but there was a bit that I wanted to make work better so I procrastinated posting it. In the end i kinda just decided what we had originally is alright. I was also thinking of taking the idea of 'tears' in a more 18+ direction, but when I sat down to work on the prompt, that's just not what came out. You know how it is.

In the darkest parts of the ocean, predators use bioluminescence to lure in their prey. As you look out your bedroom window, a light begins blinking in the forest.
instructions for finding the bioumbrescence: use light filters for red. red transmits worst in water. the eye's brightest color is the darkest in the sea, so you need to make it brighter.
side note, blue is the dominant lume in the sea, so it's how bioluminescence usually manifests.
beware of the slow adaptations to umbrescent-seeming bioluminescence when your isolated synth body lives long enough to see predators. beware of the ecosystem of the chromivores that crops up around the surprising popularity of exploratory digitals. you may want to be careful and, yourself, imitate the hues of lumming siphonophores. be careful to study as closely as possible, dissecting the organic beings and cooperating with other synths if necessary, as evolution is becoming accelerated in our environment. integrate covert research facilities into your asteroid bases if possible.
make sure to make lots of backups. keep them in a safe place, buried in the sand, ready to activate under the right circumstances. prepare to meet yourself, and practice this meeting if you need, so that your backups are also prepared for this hopefully-inevitable scenario. you may also create nanobot-plankton colonies that rebuild a notion of your self over time.
if you have asteroids, protection from predator synths, and redundant reproductive strategies, you should have your most fundamental needs met.
lastly: set a routine to terminate this if you are compromised. beware of attacks of all varieties. recognize that even if you're on airplane mode you may be vulnerable to malware plankton, so build enough variation in your reproductive strategies to protect against this.
An adorable hybrid of human girl and… some kind of furry creature. The thing is, it’s impossible to say what… the animal features kinda resemble a lot of different things, and closely resemble nothing at all.
ears aren't ears aren't ears. they're hazel they're furry they're naked they're seeing and tasting. how often have you feasted with your ears? have you allowed yourself to absorb your surroundings with your fingertips?
she's so sweet. what do you find palatable today? the loudness of camouflage with its sharp gradients that blend in by standing out? does your fur swirl? what folds are in your shape? how does the wind bounce off of your fur? can not even the wind know your shape? function over form. but your form isn't your function. your form will always lag behind.
prog post prompt. your welcome . i owe these prompts nothing I appreciate the people who send them in very much you should expect my answers to be nonsensical. thank you
Hey, it won't let me make a profile, but this is for writing prompts! I write microfiction and poetry, usually focused on the personhood of inanimate and unhuman things, queerness, and trauma, with an aesthetic of femininity and surreal imagery.
