my first issue is that you see proshipping as child pornography, when really its very very far from that. its neither a fetish nor porn, and i saw you mention the fact it was a lot. proshippers may be often found in nsfw spaces but that is not the extent of it by a long shot. again, a lot of proshippers are teens, mainly using ships to project their trauma onto fictional characters as a way of venting. you sound like you're saying nsfw spaces for minors aren't real even though they very much are. proships arent inherently nsfw either, or at least no more than regular ships.. you need to take into account that at the end of the day it is shipping, which represents a bond that's usually romantic between characters. if minors can't proship simply because its able to be nsfw, than minors can't ship at all.
if you go into proship spaces you will see a lot of them are actually not too fond of proshippers who ship for reasons other than projecting trauma as that is where it starts to step into fetishization. you sound like you only believe proshipping exists within pedophilia (constantly comparing it to child porn) even though that's only a single troupe covered within. and i can't speak for all proshippers when i say this, but i alongside a few people whom i've interacted with actually don't support these all that much. proshipping isn't at all different from what you'd consider normal shipping in the sense that people have troupes they like and dislike- to assume every proshipper enjoys pedophilic troupes is like assuming every shipper likes enemies to lovers and whatnot
the child porn part of proshipping is subcategorized into loli & shotacon work, which i (as a proshipper) do not support personally, so i don't think i'm the best person to talk about that with since it seems we're both against it. this is a huge distinction to make since lolisho is a more sexual label (loli is to lolicon as sub is to dom). not just plain old shipping, which is not guaranteed to be nsfw
and for the record, i am not at all planning on changing your views, just trying to correct a few things that you're getting wrong
your point about proshipping not being a fetish is ignorant of the places where those two obviously overlap, but i'll brush past that for now. I'm aware that lolishocons are not the extent of proshippers. My issue is not only with those groups but also people in proship communities like you who turn a blind eye to it in the name of being "anti-harassment" and "pro-fiction" and "anti-censorship" and whatnot and use media control as a scapegoat so that pedophiles can continue to jerk off to children in peace. i honestly don't care whether or not you or your friends personally get off to the thought of children and adults in romantic relationships; the fact that you're not staunchly against it as a rule is horrifying to me and in this message your dismissal of it is as mild as it would be for an item on a menu you don't personally want to try. and to be clear, i believe that any fictional relationship that involves a minor and an adult is nsfw whether you indulge in actual porn of said ship or just fluff. i'm not going to be changing any part of my doc to fit your technicalities; in fact, the language i used in my doc to disparage proshippers is probably the least scathing you'll ever see me using online. i wish you a very sincere rot in hell.
