the art that u and ur gf do is so awesome and it makes me happy to see yall happy. please never force urself to be censored it literally brings me joy seeing people like yall who encourage the “weird” taboo stuff and it inspires me to create. keep being rockstars!!
This is so incredibly sweet of you, thank you so much for this... ;_;<333333 I often tend to feel discouraged and a bit alienated, so this means a lot actually. We'll probably never ever stop drawing what we want, and we'll never stop being who we are. Don't you ever stop creating or being yourself either!!! Whoever and wherever you are, I hope I'll be able to experience it ♥
anything shows/comics/ect that inspired your work? big fan of your fluttershy tf post!
Hiiiya, thank you so much for this ask and that you like that piece in particular!! :3 You have no idea how much joy that brings me!!
As for what inspires me... hmmmm.... Let's see.
One of the earliest things I remember inspiring me to start drawing was the Rayman video game series!! Spyro was also a major one very early on. I used to create OCs and roleplay with a few others both on DeviantART and this one old website that recently got revived. I feel like you can still see traces of inspiration from Rayman in particular from how I draw eyes and snouts sometimes. Platformers (and Pokemon) in general was very important to me growing up serving as inspiration in my work as well.
It's very funny though because when you look through the earliest works I ever posted online, and perhaps to a degree even now, I don't think you'd be able to pinpoint what the specific sources of inspiration could've been for me... outside of me drawing game-specific species such as Rayman being a limbless etc of course, haha. The best way to describe it is just cartoons serving as inspiration as a whole?
Hmm what else... I guess MLP: FiM was also a really big influence for me too, and there was a time I would be drawing nothing but ponies. Several brief periods afterwards too! Homestuck is another source of inspiration both visually but also in terms of storytelling? I always found it fun how absurdly convoluted the story was and felt fascinated by the way it presented itself. It felt very refreshing, I remember scouring the wiki before actually reading it because I wanted to understand what the fuck these plot devices were. Ectobiology? The fuck is that?
I'd always found myself browsing deviantART looking at other peoples art as well. I came across this specific artist that I have been inspired by ever since I started posting art online back in late 2008, early 2009; Del Barrio. Their work is phenomenal. Their passion and love for their craft, the universe they have created with all it's inhabitants... To this day they are an active source of inspiration. I heavily recommend checking out their comic as well as follow them on whatever platforms they're on.
This is what I can remember off the top of my head, but there are plenty of other things that inspire me greatly. Music for example might be one of the biggest sources, but it's way harder to describe in depth especially since my taste can be very eclectic and can be switched up on a dime.
S1 Lisa my beloved
Yesssss I feel you :''') there's just something extra special about Lisa in the earliest seasons ;;<3 The way she's drawn, the way she is animated, the situations she finds herself in and how she deals with them... Your ask prompted me to watch that infamous clip from s2e19 again since it has been a while, and I just can't watch fully through it without tearing up. </3
