omg I know the only thing we have is eoe but that’ll be fall of 2026 and spring 2027 awards assuming it comes out april 2026. eoe is such a long shoot that she didn’t have time to film a non franchise movie too. maybe she’ll find time to film an oscar bait this year in between doomsday and messiah 🤡

I believe they wrapped up TB earlier too so I keep a hope the same thing will happen with eoe.
I don’t know much about filmmaking, but I don’t think for big productions it’s common to wrap significantly earlier than planned? from what I’ve seen, it’s all pretty meticulously scheduled in advance bc they need like permits to film wherever they are for a certain amount of time. I don’t think thunderbolts wrapped any earlier than planned

The actor playing Flo’s son said they wrap mid March so unless that anon means it’s been extended to April then…

It’s been crazy long though because she was in NZ in September for pre production before filming in October. I don’t even think she did LDG for that long

It’s easier for men though I can’t imagine Flo having made an insensitive joke then a year later it all be forgotten because she referenced Charli xcx. There’s not really any young women who are as famous as Timothee right now apart from Zendaya but she’s had the advantage of most people having grown up with her and the fashion that sets her apart. I don’t think Challengers would’ve been a hit if it was anyone else. Compared to like many years ago we’d have lots of very big female stars at once like Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts etc who were all very famous at the same time idk exactly why it’s so different now apart from people becoming more male centered
it’s always harder for women vs men and it’s even harder in any professional setting, esp public ones when the public at large has shifted rightward as backlash to the me too movement, which is ironic bc me too barely even accomplished anything. add to that the fact that our media infrastructure is so fractured, there’s so much content to consume in every format, rising costs with stagnant wages so ppl only seem to go to the theaters for IP, an increased access to celebrities, and the end result is it’s harder than ever for a young actor, and if she’s a woman it’s worse, to breakthrough all of that

yes I’ve made an account at the below link bc it looks similar to retro spring, keeps the asks and answers contained on the site so nobody has to download an app, and it’s still free and anonymous. it does have a 1000 character limit but I assume that’ll be enough for ppl lol. I’ll tweet it out next month and start using it then before retrospring shuts down in march
