to put it squarely i don't really like them that much. i'm not sure what the vision was here. i think if this isn't an accident this is just what crypton whats their loids to sound like which is a little mystifying to me, cause the V1/V2 banks are so excellent and charming...
i mean it's not all bad, some of the usage comparisons i've heard are slightly more expressive, but...
i'm not sure what's going on? the samples sound tinny, i think it soundd quite choppy, the consonants are quite prominent in a strange way... i really like miku nt for better or for worse but the SP repackages just took on the worst traits she had for whatever reason. i'm just incredibly confused overall. i have no idea if they sound the issue is piapro studio, like i wanna hear a usage in vocaloid (they should still be compatible...?) before i make a judgement
honestly it just sounds like they ran the samples through a compressor on audacity without listening to them it's very mystifying.
luka sounds marginally better than how NT sounds. but it's barely an improvement.....?¿ honestly i'm starting to think they just want luka to sound like that, that they want her to sound like a random soprano voice rather than a mature neesan. am i crazy? like it has to be on purpose at this point. these past years they've been shifting her image as a mascot too, it's so different, so maybe it's on purpose..??
i think miku v6 will have to hard carry here... hopefully the others make it to v6 too at this rate 😅
