to me, love has a broaden, complicated meaning in my dictionary. given that it revolves around our emotional bonding with someone or something we hold dearly, there are times when i feel like love is something essential for me to keep going, yet it suddenly becomes the thing i want to neglect the most when everything is falling apart. however, despite those two completely different meaning, love is the thing that has helped me finding my purpose in life—helped me to stay true to who i really am.
i'd like to receive love that makes me feel like they loved me right. sometimes, there are people who love someone yet they fails miserably to show their love towards the other—and that mostly happened because they don't know how to love them right. they could be very forceful and stubborn on their own perception of love that they neglect what it means to the other parties—and that is the last thing that i want.
thus, it's extremely essential to make our partner feel understood, honored, appreciated, and supported to be better—because those are the keys to make them feel like they are being loved right. if one could manage to make their loved ones feel this way, it means they have love them right all this time. and i think, this could be applied to both platonic and romantic terms.
