or are you hak bc you get haked
both?
im actually really gay for the concept of being hacked but dont tell anyone im shy about it,
If you could be any species (real or not), what would it be? btw sorry but you're cute, them's the rules
shapeshifter
Not a question, just wanted to say that you're a hecka cutie.
t-this is fucked up i wasnt prepared for compliments, consider: you are also very attractive
how did you start getting involved in federated social media stuff?
somebody posted about mastodon on twitter
How did you become such a cutie?
i didn't, that's fake news
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into computer programming?
start with a simple, object oriented language. java was mine. the "for dummies" book series also really helped me out
a lot of people thing federated technology solves most problems with technology but you seem to disagree. wanna share why?
Federated technology, such as social media, actually has a lot of things that i don't feel too confident in. for instance, the dynamic between users is skewed in a worrying manner. While federation solves the issue of moderation, when compared with centralized social media, new problems arise
for instance, what about your administrator? now the responsibilities usually entirely separate from the users is put front and center
someone is in charge of that now, and it's very clear who. if you ignore this aspect, you entirely miss some of your most important interactions.
how does that power dynamic play out? what if the administrator is untrustworthy? what rules are in place to allow you to fight back against these 'bad actor' admins?
honestly i dont think we've had a long enough consideration for the actual reasoning of this, and as a result, a lot of instances are meeting growing pains, and some users get locked into an account with an admin they don't trust
it's far from ideal, and i dont know how to solve it
then again, does anyone?
whats ur take on Buns
they cute
