there’s a lot of nuance that imo is not mutually exclusive… firstly, he shouldn’t have done it. it was some pretty bad decision making. secondly, there’s a lot we don’t know. imo it’s important to remember that this is an ongoing investigation and the reason why we are hearing conflicting information regarding his BAC and potential testimonies is because this information isn’t meant to be public at this time. some things are difficult to make a judgement on because you have to take everything with a grain of salt and shouldn’t do so prematurely.

that being said, i think it can be agreed upon at this point that while he did make a poor decision and has been/will continue to be punished for it, he isn’t the villain the media is suggesting he is. i’m glad the actual cctv footage of him was released, which more correctly portrays the severity of the situation (not more severe than the basis of the crime itself), and will hopefully reduce misinformation (seeing as the video many people falsely believed was him showed something entirely different). yoongi has taken accountability and the company has as well; as far as i can tell the initial confusion was also due to the fact that this is, again, an ongoing investigation, and a lot has been clarified since.

i believe that that’s currently all we can ask for until more information has been revealed, and the action that has been taken so far (ie. revoking his license) seems appropriate for this stage of the investigation and korean law. and again- i don’t think he did this with malicious intent, i do believe he is genuinely regretful, and i don’t think the situation should be minimized, which means assuming reasonable and appropriate punishment, not just what’s most severe.

ooo this is a good question… i am especially fond of spring rain taejun bc 1) the fic is deeply rooted in irl events and 2) taejun are my biases and the ones i relate to most + find most fascinating irl. writing them was SO fun and came very easily to me because of this (probably easiest of every ship in the fic) so it’s fun to imagine what they might be up to now.

it’s been over a year since the events of spring rain, and at their age a year feels like a lifetime. so much has happened irl that would be reflected in that universe, they’ve grown a lot, and with it their pack relationship. taejun especially would be influenced by the ups and downs of their career. now that they’re together properly i think they’d be able to bond/find intimacy in new and deeper ways through their daily lives. overall, after a year and a half, a big theme would be maturity- they’ve grown up more, and their relationship has gone from something very fragile but serious to something mature and comfortable—though due to their personalities there will always be some tension between them that i think would excite them a lot. they’re always looking to the next adventure :)

Tbh I am quite lucky in that one of my dream k-pop collabs has already happened... TXT and enha have collabed on stages and recorded music and even variety content and every time it's been fantastic, I think many fans were biased for or against these collabs even happening (imo let's just have fun) and the end product was incredible each time. I think they have great chemistry together and for groups who are both very tight-knit and more comfortable with each other than other people it was also nice that they seemed to be comfortable with each other. I would be really happy to see them work together again now that both groups have grown artistically and in terms of performance, and I think this could lead to some pretty cool combinations... beomgyu x jay guitar duo or heeseung x kai on the piano, etc, some sort of band group w these members producing would be a Dream.

Otherwise it would have to be tempest and zb1, I've said this from the beginning but I think they have a lot of musical similarities and ofc the members are very friendly with each other! I haven't enjoyed zb1's latest releases as much so I haven't kept as up to date with them in general but youth in the shade to me resembles a less polished version of some of tempest's music, and melting point could 100% fit into tempest's discography. I once made a list comparing their songs and honestly!! I think they could pull off each other's music very well. And as with the tempest x kep1er collaboration stage I think tpst do quite well with collab stages so it would be fun to see them perform with idols that they're already very friendly with and have History with

There are a few things that come to mind here, and I’ll say that the biggest thing is that a good poly fic doesn’t have to be 100% realistic (no fic is!) but I think that poly fics are richer when the writer really tries to put themselves in their characters’ shoes and think about how they, in the context of the situation and their character, would react to certain situations. I think a lot of people tend to think of polyamory as unnatural or maybe even more simple than it is, and the truth is that’s both very different from monogamy and also very similar. There are a lot of types of polyamory; with fic people tend to think of triads or relationships where everyone is dating each other, and while this is a type of polyamory, it’s only one type! Personally all of my relationships have been Vees/relationships in which the people I was dating had their own partners or I was dating multiple people separate from each other, and this has often been the case with the poly relationships my friends have been in.

Going off that, I would say that you shouldn’t be afraid to show these different kinds of relationships. Polyamory can be messy; to me, it’s messy even when it’s going the way it should. I don’t mean messy in a negative way—just that when there are multiple people with different personalities and opinions and experiences and desires, connected in these ways, there’s a lot going on at once, and these dynamics can be complicated! Don’t be afraid to let it get messy; polyamory isn’t perfect, and it can also be difficult in the sense that it really can be hard to navigate. These relationships have the same struggles as monogamous relationships and their own unique struggles too—and people aren’t always ready to handle them. Polyamory is common in fic spaces, but I feel like sometimes people don’t entirely consider what it’s like to actually live these experiences—even in queer spaces, polyamory is often looked down upon.

If you’re trying to write polyamory true to life, I must of course say to do your research and look into the advice and stories shared by real polyamorous people. There’s plenty out there! Don’t be afraid to ask questions and always keep learning. Polyamory itself doesn’t have to be the Main Topic of fics with polyamorous relationships. It shouldn’t always be! Writers often use polyamory to explore different types of attraction and relationships which is just fine—and we should also consider how to portray these relationships with nuance and depth!

ahhh yes… my story of getting into txt ficdom is very closely tied to me getting into sookai (who stood out to me in a duo in all of their content before i ever looked into fic). like anyone who enjoys sookai cutaepatootae’s works, especially close to home, and dracometria’s, were formative to me. but tbh it almost feels unique that i was around writing txt fics at the time they were written and still am now lmao, there aren’t a lot of us compared to how many people have joined! like a lot of people i was surprised when i started getting more into ficdom and they weren’t as popular as they were when i first started writing txt.

tbh i think that in the future of sookai its going to be important to think not of what it Was but what sookai are Now, i don’t think a lot of people have a real understanding of who sookai are as they’ve aged and their relationship has matured because their old understanding of it was based on their youth and kai’s dependency on soobin. there’s so much to their relationship now, and they still love each other so much even though their dynamics aren’t so much based on that dependency anymore. why sookai was so popular back then and why it isn’t as much now might be one and the same, but there’s a lot of appeal to them now that should be celebrated more!
