have to say i was blown away by the high engagement of the first chapter, as i was worried people couldn’t take the first scene (Gongyu x Rik making out) well. but their reaction was great, 30k+ views and 140+ likes already! and in the comments i can tell they were deeply touched, saying it reminded them of the bp final night, when they were so worried and scared that gyubrik couldn’t debut together.
also i want to stress again how incredible your fanfic is and how much it means to me and my friends. we’ve been yearning for a long, chaptered, canon-setting fanfic that tells the whole journey gyubrik have been through (we really lack this kind of fanfics, our favorite chaptered fanfics before yours are all au-settings, please allow me to recommend a few: by black_dolphin, by plinys, by ploomki), and you made our long-time dream came true! your fanfic is just so holistic: the yuehua trainee era & bp era made us cried countless times, the zb1 era truly blends seamlessly with reality and is so immersive, the post-zb1 era is absolutely heart-wrenching in the best way, while still making so much sense.

Love your writing so muchhh. Cant believe its ending which made me think are you open to writing a sequel? Like how they navigate their life after. Maybe from gyuvin's pov. Doesn't need to be many chapters but enough to show how they start anew

Like we have only seen ricky yearn for gyuvin for years but seeing gyuvin get jealous, scared, sad over ricky having someone while he was not there would be devastating

hi thank you!! this is going to be a long answer (sorry). i think the best way to improve is just to write and then write some more!! every time you write you’ll get a little better and that little progress will turn into big progress in the long run. i’m also always trying to improve, it doesn’t ever really stop, and that’s what makes it so challenging and fun!
i would also say- stick to the story you want to tell and don’t think about the opinions of others. of course, we want to make readers happy, but i think the best writing comes from an author who knows what story they want to tell regardless of what the world might think of it. so in other words, write what you love and the readers will come!!
lastly i’d say reading helps improve my writing constantly. whether it’s fic or novels, i think the more i read the more i understand language, prose, and storytelling and that helps me a lot.
hopefully this is helpful!! again i’m nowhere near an expert on writing but these are my thoughts 🩵🩵
