i just came across your twt abt svt in europe and i honestly feel bad for european carats. i hope they get to perform there asap. why do you think they haven't set dates for europe? are there not a lot of carats in europe? do you think they should have joined kpop festivals in europe?

thank you for your sympathies anon 😭 i hope so too!! I do think USA will always be prioritised for world tours since they're actively promoting there now, they have a solid fanbase there and have toured there before. i honestly did have hope that they might have added european dates afterwards though due to the cancelled oty tour, but... well, it could still happen, but not as of yet sfhsjf

at the time oty was cancelled there were a few ppl theorising maybe it might have been (only in part, ofc) bc they didn't sell as well as expected, but that's really just conjecture. idk whether that theory was backed up, I honestly have no idea how well they sold, so if anyone does I'd be interested to know too tbh. even if that was the case then tho, the fanbase has grown a LOT since then, which will include european carats, so I'd imagine the audience is plenty big enough now to justify a tour!!

It is true that the kpop market is smaller in Europe than it is in the US for example, but I do think it is also underestimated. I can only speak of my personal experience in the UK, but when f(x) performed at the korean festival, trafalgar square was literally filled out with fans. MIK had a great turnout. I didn't personally get to attend London Hallyupopfest but the images show a good crowd there, and the recent festival in Germany had a good turnout too I believe. There's definitely an audience here and given Seventeen's huge popularity now, they would get a good turnout both from carats and more general/casual kpop fans.

As for whether they should've joined those festivals, though, I mean while I personally would've LOVED it, I think that was unlikely. right now I think seventeen will simply make more money doing their own shows, so their company was unlikely to have them spend time and expenses flying them out to join festivals over here ;-; But kpop artists /have/ done shows here successfully, both as part of festivals and their own concerts, and the members themselves have expressed a wish to visit here and acknowledged the cancelled tour, so let's just hope the company listens to them!!
