Extremely disappointed you would allow someone as toxic as Dusty back on. It feels like you're condoning the harassment that he and his white knights have caused to others.
We are sorry that you feel this way. This issue has been dealt with and we have decided as a team to keep him on as a mod. If this concerns anyone they are free to message the zine socials and be removed from consideration for the zine.

If you guys are waiting to hear more about Dusty I can say that I've personally worked with him on projects. He was always very nice and very helpful. He had a bunch of people take over his fan project and was still nice enough to let them use a server that HE made for them. He puts a lot of work into his projects and tolerates a lot more than I would personally.
The discourse involving him hasn't been relevant for like over a year and he didn't even do anything bad.

What were the concerns that caused you to remove Dusty as a mod?
We had a couple of people come forward and mention that they had some toxic interactions with him in the past. This issue has been dealt with and we have decided as a team to keep him on as a mod. If this concerns anyone, they are free to pull out of the zine by contacting any of our social media outlets.

Do we not receive a confirmation email when putting apps in?
You should have received a confirmation email when you filled out that app. If you did not, we went on a hiatus and will be reaching back out to those that applied to see if they are still interested in being a part of the zine within the next week.

When/why did this become a free zine?
It was a decision amongst the mods that we wanted to be able just to keep something that everyone could do that would be hassle free and allow for more contributors to participate. It was nothing we took lightly.

Will you still be judging applications since it's now a free digital zine?
We will have a limit on the final amount of submissions as our mods can only handle so many, so yes we will still be going through the application process as normal. It will not be as selective as it would be for a normal priced out printed zine as we have a bit more flexibility.
