Hi! It's all a matter of opinion, but ppl mostly are against shipping bc some ppl take it way too far. For example, many idols have gotten uncomfortable bc of shippers who bring their ships to them and make them aware of it, thus making the idols relationship irl awkward for them. It happens to voice actors in anime as well during conventions, where ships are pushed into their faces. Since ppl have become aware of this, they go to the extremes to try and erase shipping altogether, which isn't good either. For me, I always like to think life is good with a balance. You can have ur ships, but don't be a fucking weirdo about them, y'know? But alot of ppl don't get that concept.

Tbh sfw has constantly proven time and time again that they're v hypocritical. They do sexualize idols despite saying they don't. They consume fanworks and they write y/n stuff on many different platforms. But u see they often push the whole mnsvng FRIENDSHIP thing ( ex : oh I love their FRIENDSHIP sm ) they end up just being flat out homophobic instead. Once ur aware of the hypocrisy, it's easier to exist without guilt. Like i said, just don't be a weirdo, and you're fine.
