I see plenty of people on my timeline who are still posting about 5kz and other interests. I am not doing call-out posts and whatever, because as I’ve said, I don’t care. But on one hand, when you reach a certain level of following, you SHOULD use your platform for spreading awareness.

If you don’t take a stand, you are standing with the oppressor. There is no “neutral” bullshit in this. All that the strike was asking for was to just not post about your idols for one single week. Making an announcement about it was completely unnecessary. Saying “I won’t participate in ANY strike/boycott from now on” was unnecessary. Telling people to “stay safe” when palestinians have to watch their family members and loved ones getting blown to bits was UNNECESSARY.

The point of the strike is to not clog up the TL with your porn and give space for others to spread awareness. I do consider her thinking. The announcement and her way of thinking is privileged, ignorant and disgusting.

I have said before that I will not be sharing posts about palestine on my nsfw account on the regular because I want to keep that a safe space and I see plenty of videos, posts, pleas, children saying that they want to die because that way they can be with their deceased parents on my sfw TL.

Doesn’t mean I am not boycotting in real life and it doesn’t mean that I am not going to participate in a strike. And what Jello posted literally just gave anti-boycotters a platform to be like “oh omg if somebody with this big of a following can say this then so can I :3” because unfortunately all people can see are numbers.

So no, I don’t believe that if you can’t spare a single finger to retweet one link and furthermore MAKE A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT HOW YOU’RE NOT GONNA BOYCOTT ANYTHING for 8 millionaires when people are dying, I am going to assume that you don’t care. You being able to use your account for what you want is entitled, selfish and gross. That’s it.
