WELL personally I am just fascinated with the human microbiome so I wanted to have a character that's small enough to live in it and explore it (I also have a bacteriophage fursona for this reason). & the way tapeworms live and interact w the host kind of reminds me of how I feel and struggle socially in an esoteric way, so its a self help/coping thing too.
