Can you share about your writing process? Adore your fic <3
Thank you so much for enjoying my writing!! <3 I tend to outline the overall story in broad stroke bulletpoint format of major plot anchors to help guide me, but I keep a pretty loose handle on what beats hit what chapter and I let that happen organically as I write each one. I have a wide idea of where the entire story goes, but details change a lot as I'm writing each chapter!
I don't give myself a specific post schedule or deadline, because I work fulltime and I want to make sure I'm super happy with where things are before I post.
I don't write ahead and write each chapter one at a time, and I write the plot points of the whole chapter before I bang it out. I tend to try to write chronological flow of the chapter to manage my own consistency but if I get stuck I'll skip ahead to the scene I know I really want to write within the same chapter. I try not to be precious about plot points I had determined before and will chuck stuff if it doesn't make sense as I'm incorporating it into the actual narrative. I'm also totally a verbal processor kind of person, so I bounce ideas off of friends since it helps me organize myself!
I write on my computer/iPad/phone just depending where I'm at, and I make playlists for my fics but will listen to certain vibe playlists if I'm writing to a specific emotion. My bestie Mars betas for me (bless her ability to snipe my misuse of past perfect tense) and then I just post right away.
Maybe not the most interesting answers, I'm just pretty free-form about how I write to keep it fun and stress-free because this is my happiness and stress relief!
