last prompt about the public broadcasted humiliation but with sniper forcing spy to choose between telling the team and scout's ma. and even though he hasn't seen her in 27 years he can't beat the thought of further sullying her view of him. imagine the terrible, embarrassing things locked away in his mind, things he was planning to take to his grave... and sniper knows that, and he's gonna keep prying for more if he deems not soul-crushing enough for spy.
exactly! i was too exhausted to fully explain my ideas, but you figured it out. essentially, yes. spy feels so much /guilt/ over what happened with ma. he couldn't bare it.... finally contacting or seeing her again, just to confess humiliating, sick, sexual things? it's dreadful.
........ maybe that's a route to explore though....
