I don’t get how that infamous thread about ‘Utahime’s character’ is unbiased. They clearly have Stsg mentioned in their bio, i can also see they like Shokohime aswell. I personally don’t ship anybody in jjk so it’s very easy for me to spot when all this bias is occurring and their post was LITTERED with it. I also don’t understand the gojohime hate like calm the fuck down. tbh, i’ve never been a shipper i would definitely say im a non shipper especially when it comes to shonen, but when i first encountered those two the first thing i thought was ‘these two are kinda shojo coded’ since ive read some shojo with dynamics that they have so i dont understand why people think and act like it’s the worst ship or that it’s ‘unshippable’. i think i read a while back that it was the number 1 m/f ship in jjk??? obviously if it’s the number 1 m/f ship then it isn’t just a small number of people that see it.
like of course anyone can make a thread about any character, but they think they were doing justice to her character when the thread in question still somehow revolved around him... instead of actually talking about her, majority of the thread was about her 'relationship' with gojo.
and yes, gjhm is the #1 m/f ship in jjk if we base from pixiv! they're quite popular in japan, too. there's an upcoming doujin event in japan and there's around 70 booths for the ship alone, meanwhile there's 5 for another m/f jjk ship, but i forgot which one. this means a lot of artists are making art of the ship, proving that the pairing isn't just something that people randomly ship since they actually have a reason to - for example, their dynamics being common in shoujo.
at the end of the day, people should learn how to leave harmless ships and its shippers alone. they should be making more content of their otp instead of harassing other shippers and accusing them of being this and that...
