I love your writing pieces!! ♡ I'm writing something shmk myself and asking people for opinions, so I thought I should ask one of my favorite ValkPs as well. Realistically (and by that I mean sticking possibly closest to canon, current timeline. "Personal nuances" aside), do you think Shu would be nervous/awkward in intimate situations? Especially if Mika wanted him to do something non-vanilla. I'm not writing freaky Mika for this one but I've been wondering if Mika were to ask Shu to nip him or do anything that causes at least a bit of bodily pain would he be like "Wait isn't that literally harming the other?!"... and also degradation. Probably what I'm more interested in for this one. Shu won't change his personality that's who he is but realizing he loves and deeply cares for Mika could he possibly be averse to the idea of degradation? Thankies..
Thank you!
I definitely think Shu could definitely be nervous/awkward during intimacy, especially if he's getting out of his comfort zone. He's not always the best about trying new things, and is very vocal about his negative opinions. I wouldn't put it past him to have an over the top averse reaction to Mika suggesting pain play / degradation.
This is moreso going off where they are current in canon, Shu's self aware that the way he used to be cruel to Mika isn't okay, and while he is definitelly nicer about it, he's not perfect. I think one of his realistic worries would be Mika "regressing", in that he's worked hard with Mika to help him transform from being "Shu's doll" to being an equal human partner.
One of the big themes with Valkyrie as a unit is trust, and how much trust they put in each other. I think this could be something interesting to explore with them, and how Shu would have to realize he can't always micromanage Mika or just do things with him that he's 100% on board with, opening his mind to try new things and trust if Mika would tell him it's too much.
