(Very long answer, sorry)
Well, this whole thing started when I drew Socks, Mitch and Cubey as adults (at the time I didn't thought about making an AU...) but later on my head told me "hey dude, why not making a Robot Jones AU with the adult designs you made!" And I said "that's a great idea!" And then started to develop a little story... It takes place 15 years later of the original events of WHTRJ, after Robot Jones' family... "Stopped functioning" RJ was in a complex grieving state, their family was the only thing they had left after their little friend group splitted apart, but one day, The Yogmans (because yes, those bitches are still around in the AU) appeared and tried to rob RJ and threatened them to hurt them, but then, a 28 year old Socks appears and scares the Yogmans away, then Socks invites RJ to live with him in his apartment since RJ told Socks about their loss, and then they find Cubey and the three of them find out Cubey and Socks live in the same place (Socks lives 3 floors above Cubey) and then uhhh, it turns out that Mitch has a wife and a family and a very successful restaurant and allat (don't wanna make this any longer sorry...)
My favorite characters of the AU are definitely RJ and Cubey, mostly Cubey, he's silly
