Idk if this is a cope take but I think till is a lot more attached to Ivan than he thinks and he only notices it only after Ivan dies because he has subconsciously took him for granted which makes his breakdown in r7 even more heartbreaking, he doesn't remember Io but the same kind of trauma comes back to him, he remembers the feeling
