Chapter 155 has me thinking that since EnSaku are sitting so close now..the moment Umemiya wins, Sakura is gonna flash a blinding smile that's gonna make Endo forget about everything or try his hardest to not kiss him. OKAY BUT ALSO, I loved how Sakura finally talked smack back to Endo lmao. I can't help but think in the future, Endo would want Sakura to believe in him like he does Umemiya enough to say something encouraging too. Thanks for coming to my daily delulu talk

I don't know, there just was something about it... Something I can't express, but it's a very strong feeling. He's probably both impressed and jealous; charmed by Sakura's unwavering trust and loyalty but also envy that those things don't belong to him...
I love this EndoSakuUme/UmeSakuEndo stuff that's currently going on. I really have to write something about it, too!

Thanks for the recs! I did try Land of the Lustrous! I was wondering if I should try Frieren at some point. I've actually not tried Blue Lock yet lol. A friend recced it though since EnSaku and Kaiisagi overlap quite abit. I don't mind dark series as long as the author cares about their story/characters. I heard Monster is a classic, so what's your take on why it's so great?
Hey again, Anon! Did you like "Land of the Lustrous"? "Frieren" is an amazing series with great visual, well-written characters and lore, and very important, down-to-earth themes, so I think you should give it a chance at least. :) "Blue Lock" is for the people who really like MC-centric stories where MC always influences other characters in a way so meaningful it looks like a harem story. And about "Monster"... Oh, where do I even start?
I think the greatest thing about "Monster" is how the author treats his characters because even those who appear very briefly are very interesting and realistic. All characters are weaved into the plot so well, every one have their important role in the narration — even those who appear like they don't. Also, Urasawa-sensei is extremely smart, the lore and plot he made is saturated with historical facts and events, and also has a lot of very important themes. Despite the dark setting, "Monster" is... hopeful. Like the light in the end of the tunnel. Because it shows that most people are not born evil, that they aren't bad naturally or lack empathy, they're just human — most of them felt guilt for years after doing horrible things, but they knew they can't be forgiven. Also, I think it's beautiful how Urasawa-sensei draws characters realistically; unlike many storytellers, he doesn't depend on the physical attractiveness of his cast to appeal to the mass viewer/reader but rather puts his best work in their story and personality. He breaks the "pretty = kind, ugly = evil" stereotype that prevails in animation industry, and that's amazing.

Hii~ It depends on your taste and on what you already had watched/what's in your list of favourites. Recently, I watched "Monster" by Naoki Urasawa and I'm in love with it, but it can be too dark and serious for some people, especially if you like WB. Many people in WB fandom are also into Blue Lock, just like I am — but maybe you already watched/read it. Also I love "Frieren: Beyond the Journey's End" and wait for the new chapters; "Trigun Stampede" is a marvelous show I really enjoyed, and so is "Land of The Lustrous" from the same studio (I haven't read the manga though). Oh! And I'm thinking about starting "Witch Hat Atelier", maybe this one would fit your tastes?
Sorry... I need more information from your side, I guess... Hoping that I named at least one thing that you'd like.

A large part of why Endo is watching his running mouth is bc if he doesn't he knows it could cost him Sakura being willing to associate with him past the battle. Keeping his promise to not touch Furin again is one thing, it's another if Endo makes it clear just how much he wouldn't have minded destroying the town Sakura cherishes. So then Sakura would be less likely to hit him up/respond to his messages. So I'm glad Endo knows he's still on thin ice bc yes sir, you are still an ass!!!.
Yesss, I love how careful he is with Sakura. That's definitely love... He doesn't want to disappoint him, and the fact that Endo wants to keep seeing Sakura even after their fight... I love them so much.
Endo is ass, but he's so considerate with someone he's into. Literally the "bad boy who only you can fix" trope, haha!

Gonna blab, so hope I make sense!: "I wonder how he would act if he's gonna have to choose between Takiishi and Sakura? 🤔" Hm..I kinda wanna say it's even. When I look back on it, Endo's got some underlying depths to his devotion. Ex. rmbr kid Endo looked hella smug when he blocked Takiishi's punch despite saying "Let's do whatever you want." I was almost worried for lil Takiishi there. I was surprised when he glared at Sakura for the mistaken comment about the tattoo association but I'm starting to think if it's similar to the above example then..dude just has this area of devotion that's definitely not totally sunshine. Would he glare at Takiishi the same way? I dunno but it's not impossible Endo would do something we didn't think a "loyal follower" would do especially if Sakura were at stake. He's still an asshole though lol.
If Endo came to the roof by himself he woulda seemed like a no.1 Takiishi stan but since he's with Sakura, there's those signs of his divided attention we gotta take into account too. If Endo had come with say, Tsubakino the others, (Sakura not included) he wouldn't have held back badmouthing Ume/Furin at all. Everyone woulda been up in arms wanting to kick his ass (same). But here, he actually watches Sakura's expression and saw the fear the poor boy had when he went on about a destructive scenario he could've made happen. Plus he seemed to feel bad for Sakura watching Ume with the narration "he seems so distant."
It's been said that Endo dislikes people and it shows in how he doesn't feel remorse.for what he did with the plan. Also when he fought Tsubakino and co he called them all "maggots" to crush under his feet. Before fully falling in love with Sakura, rmbr how he called our boy a "little punk" and Sakura got angry at that or when their fight was about to begin Endo called him an "Idiot, that can't read between the lines." Now it seems like he's trying to avoid name calling Sakura much. Meaning, Sakura had enough of an impact to modify how Endo behaves, the same guy who just doesn't care about others. He didn't totally get rid of his terrible personality but it's telling in itself, if Endo actually is trying to accommodate to not upset Sakura. OH YEAH! I forgot this bit, literally when they stepped foot on the rooftop, Endo's first words were "Sorry, SAKURA I'm sure you're pissed but I feel fulfilled." So Sakura does still have some sway over him even if its in the bg for now. Tldr; I'm sorry for the essay dskhndk but I hope sensei hits me straight where it hurts good.
DON'T SAY SORRY, THIS IS AMAZING. I love reading EndSk analysis!!! I totally agree with you, Sakura definitely has some power over Endo — maybe not as strong as Takiishi's YET, but hey, they have a lot of time to change that.
I really love Endo's personality, so I don't want him to change. Though if it's caused by Sakura... then maybe it's okay... I really need some fics where Sakura just tries to make Endo behave!!! Like in MommySaku hcs, or just in general. It'd be nice to see the boy who once acted cynical to be the one to fix — or at least try to — Endo's cynicism. Quite poetic, isn't it?

Sakura playing with Endo's tattoos to the point that Endo misinterprets it as him asking for sexual favours 😊 OR he wants to get revenge so he kisses Sakura on the areas where his body has tattoos. I guess this fits under body worship. When he gets to Sakura's shoulders he bites at them just bc around that area they stung like a bitch to get. Endo tryna to hold back his laughter from how the hickeys he gives Sakura look like like mini flame marks with Sakura ready to square him up for
Sakura always brushing Endo's tattoos with his fingers, making Endo shiver because he's touch-starved and very much pent up since Takiishi doesn't even look in his direction... So Endo thinks Sakura wants something from him, but in reality Sakura is just being his soft self he usually tries to hide. Endo teases him back, touches him here and there all the time, ghosts his lips over Sakura's skin but never gives him more and it makes Sakura frantic. Because he's also just a touch-starved teen, after all.
I love how you described hickeys as mini flames... This is totally something Endo would think of them, I'm sure! Endo loves leaving his marks on Sakura to show everyone who this sweet boy belongs to...

Tryna cope from Endo's assholery but rereading chapter 150, when he said "This sucks, once Takiishi's fight is over I won't have an excuse to see you again. You hate me, after all." And I realized that it implies Endo would've missed Sakura to a degree even when he'd left and I grrr. That was cute but now he's balancing it out with reasons to smack him. Endo doesn't regret the mess he caused but that it could've costed him a relationship with Sakura. So his priority seems like if it hurt other people it's whatever, it's only if the two people he cares about are involved that's when he has a sudden guilty conscience. I don't blame Ume if he comes after Endo skdjdjdn. "Oh yeah! I almost destroyed Furin 'cause of Takiishi but remember I called it off or else Sakura would've hated me :(" /cue dark Umemiya/
Murder is okay 🖤 but only if Sakura agrees! And he never does, but Endo will never stop trying to legalize it, lmao. He's such a pathetic simp, for real. I wonder how he would act if he's gonna have to choose between Takiishi and Sakura? 🤔 Like here he easily cancelled the Furin attack because Sakura told him to, but it also never contradicted Takiishi's goals (since for him it was never about the town but Umemiya). Lately, I've been thinking of how bitter Endo can sound whenever he talks about Ume so I got that mixed up (out of context that panel looked like jealous Endo material ngl) Thanks for showing me the ChikaSaku crumb I nearly missed 🙏 But okay wow, the amount of fearlessness Sakura has to worry about people who could eat him alive (literally and figuratively😇😇)
