whats your opinion on non-con?

long answer: the discussion around non-con in art is kind of ruined by both present-day conservatism and a kind of online self-policing born out of consumerism and a shrinking sense of agency young adults feel nowadays under the booth of late-stage capitalism (in which media becomes the primary arena of moral and political contestation when no other options for social change are readily available...).
art is a space to explore/depict/represent things that can be unrealistic, uncomfortable, etc. it is both totally true that not everyone wants those kinds of experiences... but it's also true that art presents a particular kind of aesthetic experience that we understand is not real life (you wouldn't intervene during a performance of Othello because one of the characters is murdered, for example). the same goes for like, role-playing in BDSM clubs or other kinds of experiences that play around in a similar 'fictional' space. it'd be a different story if this was not about that kind of experience and was about real-life instances of abuse/violence/power asymmetry... but i shouldn't have to tell you that lol.
trying to police or censor art; especially the ones that subvert norms, or make people uncomfortable! -- isn't very good imo. there are other ways to engage in Discourse without like. ad homniem extrapolation or conservative puritanism. tho i will say the norms of 'discourse' are negotiated on the fly and never set in stone, so there is always a clear answer on how to talk about or engage with these kinds of topics responsibly and critically... however, most discussions of the internet are utter garbage. so the bar is preeetty low, I'd say. just do better than that, ok??? don't stick around arguing w strangers on the internet, lol
...
if youre asking if its a fantasy i find hot ehhh i dont really have any thoughts abt it
