It was giving authors visibility? So it was giving a little boosting that they work were recognised? Idk
true! i feel like fests can be great for boosting authors that maybe aren't as recognized. but there's no shortage of fests rn- but i have noticed that the number of fics revealed at the end of fests seems to be going down. i think people are writing less, for a lot of different reasons, as people have discussed.
