Probably a hot take but another reason I really don’t like firefly is besides all the shilling they do as the TB’s gf which I hated her even before that is that how certain characters act differently towards her despite us knowing they don’t like a faction a character belongs to. March & Himeko go on & on how they don’t like the hunters but minutes later it’s oh firefly thank you yada yada. Helped or not she’s a hunter, u can’t go “can’t stand these bitches” then “me and the bestie” just because she helped
honestly from himeko's pov i find the interpretation that she was merely acting like that due to her being politically savvy and being able to understand that they need help much better than her suddenly changing her mind? but it's true that ff sort of... well yea, the game pushed her too hard to the point her interactions with other characters felt weird and almost mary sue-y to me? especially considering himeko is aware that the stellaron hunters helped on the xianzhou as well and that they specifically help the trailblazer, but that didn't erase her own distaste for them. now a random girl comes along, she founds out it's a stellaron hunter and boom? she doesn't care anymore? one of himeko's most contrasting moments compared to the mc is her outright distaste and hesitancy when it comes to the stellaron hunters...stripping her of this so suddenly doesn't make much sense imo. they could've easily made this a sort of begrudging acceptance instead? sorry but i really dont vibe with the stuff around ff's character, good backstory sure but that alone does not make a good character
