I knooow!!!!! I’ve always had the same thoughts! It pisses me off because his relationship with Rin in IY certainly wasn’t & shouldn’t be a prerequisite for S/R in YSHM bc it’s sooo fucked. Rin was barely 8/9 years old in IY & they ruined such great character only to get mired in such abhorrent intentions. That being said, Yashahime was never written by Rumiko so I will never consider it canon material to IY (except Moroha, I find it pretty cute Inukag finally has an offspring but even the way they wrote it was pretty hectic bc why wasn’t she with her parents… it’s so annoying). Even though Rumiko did approve of the sequel & drawn the character designs herself. But yeah! It’s so disheartening, bc Sesshomaru ended up being a grooming ped*phile it’s so fucked that the writers for Yashahime saw his awakened human & paternal, familial benevolence towards Rin and used this dynamic to turn it into something… deplorable. It does leave a sour taste in the mouth, and that’s why I never supported Yashahime lol

(a lengthy response) to tell you the truth this is quite tricky to answer. my mind always seem to go blank when i'm asked this nshs but i have always been enamoured with films though! i am not gonna go into specifics but it's always been a huge part of me growing up. i used to read in hs but honestly, i have always felt conflicted re: my preferences back then, so i don't consider it to contribute to my general taste bc it was merely a phase.

suffice to say, what i think has greatly played a part in my taste- to its expanse- tend to be the ones i have recently been engrossed in (and by recently i mostly mean from my pandemic reads/watches to now). i feel like i have a broader liking compared to when i only used to go for a tunneled selection of media & strict (not necessarily strict but you get it) compliance to confine myself with only the ones i initially know i will Love. bc i have been trying to experience lots of narratives in different styles & forms, i'm able to consume media that are outside of my preferences, and still end up loving it. there's a vast, vast array of great ones and i feel like this is the only way to know what you will love. at least, that's how i feel! i have been gabbing on but i hope my answer suffices nhnhshs

I honestly don’t see myself as one lol I'm not at all a professional, I don't even think I have a good grasp about it nhshs but like what I said in the previous ask, I just really like to write what I feel, I write mostly for myself & for the love of coming back to them to revisit what I have been feeling when I wrote it. although I am not an avid reader, I am quite fond of reading poetry books and some novels (I really like the writing style of Banana Yoshimoto for some context). I feel like we'll constantly encounter insecurity which is so valid especially for non-native speakers (also me), but if you want to write just write away! don't even think about grammars per se... start writing through conveying your feelings. I think that's a great place to start with <3

I don’t see myself as eloquent but I like to write my thoughts (be it about my personal life, media I consume, etc) I feel like this helps me a lot personally. I also read books (though not as frequently), I do love reading poetry. the most efficacious way is to read, I like to look at the semantics & the grammatical structures of the English usage in many different writing styles. I also keep myself a note of vocabularies I am not familiar with, so I revisit it, study, & cross some out when I can finally use some of it naturally. idk if that makes sense at all, but I also believe that being eloquent doesn’t always mean aureate words/vocabularies
