as for the shipping banners, i'm always a little unsure what to say abt them. i was in korea when jeno pointed to the "get married jendong" sign and both hyuck and him seemed to take it more as fun than anything else but i also understand how it can be very uncomfortable especially as some famous people like lauren jauregi have spoken about how uncomfortable (as a queer person) it has made her feel to be confronted with shipping.

at the end of the day, i'm not jeno, nor any of the dreamies so idk how they feel about it, but personally i also prefer and am a big advocator that shipping and shipping related things like fanfiction, tropes, omegaverse inside jokes, are only fun when they stay within the fandom and online bubble.

if an artists enters the fandom space and looks for stuff like that, well, that's their own fault, but this decidedly doesn't seem to be the case here so.

i'd also feel bad judging anyone who does that without talking to them first, though. like i want to understand if they thought those type of signs over or if it was a spurr of the moment thing and they didn't even realize what that could mean or how itd come across in a real life scenario.

i also don't want to be hypocritical and say that certain signs or certain fandom things don't make me angry and i overly judge them even without proper talk throughs.

the crowd in korean concerts always chanting for them revealing their abs makes me personally uncomfortable, esp on site during concerts, or when i see signs during segments asking xyz member to reveal their abs too. if it isn't coming from within the dreamies, like it's them playing around and teasing each other, or like jeno in smoothie Wanting to show his abs, i'm not quite sure why people think it's okay to put them on the spot like that.

then again, i should try not to judge without acc talking to the person first, and i am once again also not jeno or any of the dreamies to know whether they mind those type of signs in concerts or not but... yeah. idk - it's complicated. 😭

something i've always been curious about tho is - why are people a lot more comfortable with y/n type shipping signs rather than group member shipping signs?

like to me it's the same if a random girlie is asking whether they're my gf or my wife or a random girlie asking me if my friend is my boyfriend or my husband? id feel equally as weirded out but maybe thats just my inability to understand unspoken social rules and parasocial relationships.

anyway, i am straying so off topic and i am so sorry for the long answer, but what i want to say is:

yes, some of those sign suck. we will never know how the boys feel about them. we also will never know what the people writing those type of signs think, if it was a mistake or ignorance or stupidity, so rather than dwelling on it, i'd much rather spend my time making positive signs or writing positive comments for jeno and the others on ig or bubble.

i saw that somebody brought a "we will love you even when you don't show your abs" sign to one of the cons in singapore and jeno saw it, so hopefully he knows! and if he doesn't we will make him know with our support that he can do wtv he wants! whether he decided to cut holes into his shirt again or wears three layers of clothes during concerts, we love him for his kindness and his talent! i hope that answered ur question 😭
