I think it really depends on the people in the relationships. on one hand I've had ldr that didn't work out because of distance problems and as well as my bad communication problem at the time and a whole mix of things. while my friend dating her ld bf for 4 years before going and actually moving to stay by him overseas. so it really depends on the people I think. one person might be fit for it and the other not. or even better they both can work with it till the hopeful day of meeting irl. but hey I'm not the love advisor here, I haven't had any good long relationships to give much advice on as unfortunately a lot of my feedback would come from a negative perspective. but looking at my friends who've made it, there is true opportunities to make it work. I don't usually speak about these types of things anon so forgive me if my response wasn't what you expected or hoped it to be. but that is my opinion. a mix of yes and no.
