Since I was there when this fandom was born, my first impression was really pleasant! I remember the amount of memes I'd see in the tumblr tag every new episode, and fanart, and in general it was a small but fun community!

Mmh, regarding the shipping part, for some time there was like an harmony in those spaces and we just enjoyed the ship (reimob) in our tags. Although, most of the time I'd just go to pixiv and enjoy the fanart! Not a lot of drama, but at the end of the series I think is where the shift were more noticeable, and I'd see a lot of posts on tumblr trashing the ship and the shippers. At that time the terms of anti/proshipper didn't exist or weren't that famous so I didn't pay much attention to it, for me it was like any other fandom discourse.

Later on, like in 2019 when the second season was released, I went back for a bit and the fandom was a complete chaos, although and I didn't last much tbh, I was reaaaaaally confused with everything (? so I didn't even finished the second season at that time. I've already read the manga anyway so I didn't feel like I was missing something hahaha
