i read all of ur analyses and im so in love with them, i think you did an especially great job dissecting dr ratio and aventurine’s character. although i think it’s rather interesting that ratio is a lot more “harsh” in cn version at least compared to the en version. i wonder if you’d describe ratio’s attitude as a sort of “tough love” where the importance of struggle is emphasized, maybe too much so. idk just my thoughts brewing 🍵
oo tysm! Ahaha I think I mostly talked about Ratio in replies, really should make a post soon ^^;;;
hm "tough love" - Take responsibility for your actions and be open to feedback, even if it is difficult to hear - yeah I think that makes sense
Ratio's care is pretty rational imo, people can't learn unless they struggle and get up themselves after falling down
When it comes to giving lessons, when we look at 1.6's ending; he lays out his questions and leaves people to find the answers themselves --> this also makes sense since, when ppl ponder and grasp the answers themselves, do they learn the most from it
Ratio isn’t a patient man; he provides things for ppl who are willing to learn. Considering his way of teaching, I don’t think he’ll bother with those who aren’t open for learning
tldr
Ratio’s way of teaching maximizes his own efficiency and the quality of learning for the other party; if the other party doesn’t get what Ratio’s doing, uh Ratio probably left already if there isn’t any danger involved
