They pop into my head, but they pop into my head more when I’m sitting down at my desk in front of my computer! Lots of my time spent “working” on comics is just sitting at my desk staring into space and coming up with things… I wish I was better at it and had a better process of organizing and keeping track of my scattered thoughts!

I don’t really have a good solution for this right now… it used to be that reading comics would break me out of my funk and inspire me, but lately reading comics just makes me want to read more comics! I’ve been banging my head against art a lot lately and would love to have a quicker way to overcome this than making a bunch of bad comic pages before I can dig out a good one!

I had the perfect nap the other day… I was visiting my family on the island and we stayed in a little cabin near the beach. We came back from walking the dog and I crashed onto the bed… I took off my glasses and felt myself sink into the covers. Blinked my eyes open and it was an hour later and the sun had gone down a little and I felt refreshed and lovely

I had an unforgettable experience beating the dancing lion first time after being stuck on every single other boss in the game… everything came together and it was a beautiful experience and the first time I’ve ever felt good at Elden ring!!! Otherwise I adored the sunflower and rellana…. Still more to meet too!!

Oh it would be so good. I work at the most corperate book store in the world and every day I yearn for a place that builds relationships with it’s customers instead of trying to take advantage of them… it would be a curated space to help people find work that the employees find special instead of just discounting bestsellers to boost profits…. It would be a good place to hang out even if you weren’t buying anything…. Sure a store like this might lose money instead of making it but so do the corperate book stores lol!! It would be the spark of a beautiful dream

I’m reading it right now!!! I totally love it!! The idea to have a narrator was more inspired by arrested development and kaguya-sama which both use their narrators for incredibly efficient humour. I’ve also been using it as a tool for “looking back” on these events so to speak which is something I’ve been thinking about since I saw I saw the tv glow, where some key moments rely on the narrator talking about the present in past tense which I found endlessly wonderful and interesting. Hirayasumi hasn’t influenced my work much yet since I started it very recently but I wholeheartedly expect it to!!!
