Is it normal to feel overwhelmingly anxious when you're going to start a job? One that you've studied a lot to get and went to uni for it?
personally i think change is always scary no matter what and no matter how prepared you are for it. it's thrilling and it's daunting and sometimes it is straight up terrifying. but please remember that you've worked hard for this and you got your job for a reason! like, you did the studying you've put in the effort and i believe you're more than capable.
i get really bad imposter syndrome and feel overwhelmed easily in new places but i always try to think of how these feelings aren't going to last and you'll likely feel a lot more at ease once you've settled in and found your rhythm. i know it's easier said than done but try not to be so hard on yourself!
as for anxiety specifically, this might be a bit of a washed out advice so you can do with that as you will but i reaaaally think breathwork is such a game changer. basically just doing breathing exercises. genuinely purposely and consciously taking a moment, 5-10 minutes to check in with yourself and just focus on your breathing. i've been taught 4 counts in and 6 counts out. :-) it's helped me tremendously with anxiety and just taking some time to get myself out of certain headspaces. obviously stuff like exercising or doing stuff to distract yourself is also helpful but breathwork you can genuinely do anywhere at almost all times (but do it safelyyy). so i figured i'd pass that little piece of advice along.
either wayyyy you got this! i believe in you! ♡
