lots to unpack here but firstly, that’s not what he said? if he did say that, that would still be weird, but he didn’t, he mentioned how he likes their non bright & sexy concepts, when the kid was flustered he doubled down and said hey we’re 11 we can be sexy & cool. at the end of the clip he said sorry, probably because he realized it was kinda weird, but that doesn’t make it okay or absolve him from any criticism. if you’re really going to sit here and tell me you would talk to a child and say “but you’re 11, you can like sexy concepts” (since that’s what you’re claiming he said) that is very concerning. adults should never talk like that to children, using those words and saying it in that type of way. i never claimed children should be shamed for anything but that is an ENTIRELY different conversation. i also never said i was “stressed out on twitter” i have a lot going on in my personal life and since this topic IS triggering to me (i’m not pretending there’s a trigger there that makes literally no sense lmfao) i decided to just take a break from my tl for a while & focus on other things. there was genuinely nothing to pick apart with the situation… i never analyzed it or claimed to know everything, but what he said is literally right there. despite intention, despite anything, it was not okay. it’s alright to admit that it was weird. but to go to these lengths to discredit that it’s triggering for me and to defend it is odd. i doubt you actually care about my perspective considering how you went about this though. i sincerely hope you never admit something is triggering and have someone use it against you to invalidate you.
