Hiii you know my otp is acelu .... i love it in many ways. Ig one of the main reasons i love it so much is the sheer adoration they had (and still have, in luffy's case) for one another. Willing to sacrifice themselves for eachother, Luffy going against all odds in order to get his brother back, and Ace realising he's loved by his crew, but especially by his Luffy. So I guess if I had to choose, I'd choose the fact that Ace fell protecting his first and final love.
