I guess this might be hard to answer shortly but, what makes you like Arknights the way you do?
oh god this is definitely gonna be a long one! ive always been a huge fan of games that have stories that allow you to emerse yourself in the world they're presenting. basically if it has nice lore, ill definitely like it.
it's a game that doesn't focus on the fact that it's another gacha game that wants to devour your wallet for units that'll get powercrept in the next few months (im looking at you Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight ReLive), instead it chooses to put everything it's got into a story the people who made the game wish to tell.
yknow i wouldn't be praising this game's story if it wasn't so FUCKING GOOD. it really feels like each event actually has something to add to the overarching plot instead of something you just play for the rewards (looking at you Genshin Impact), most of them show how each nation is, and how things differ between different sections of the same place it's just so satisfying to read this world which has so much care and thought put into it.
the cast is also another huge plus, normally im not a huge fan of big casts since im more than likely to just pick my favourites and invest into only them but Arknights manages to make me willingly read up on characters i don't know because their files have so many pieces and points that add to the way said character is/has become while adding onto the world they live in.
game wise, i've never actually played a tower defense before AK but it sure as hell became my number 1 game very quickly. the aesthetics and design of it just really appeal to me, not to mention how each unit has a purpose and can be used in even really tough stages it's just so nice to be able to clear stages with your favourites even if they aren't spectacular in most regards.
so overall, this game has my heart and soul i love Arknights so much and i hope to keep playing it for however long i can
