I originally didn't see Nvfr as romantic because when I joined twt the first people I found here were shippers of her with other characters. So I often read their takes about Nvfr and honestly that was kinda affecting how I see their relationship because the amount of people agreeing with them. Only after awhile I reread and rewatch things back from the game and I was like "I wonder where people get these informations or how they formed their opinion?" Because honestly whether you ship them romantically or not it's clear these two will always have interaction with each other, there's no bad blood between them and they have interaction after her abdication. Like let's be honest and be fcking real canonically Furi will definitely have chances to interact with Neuvillette more than well let's say the other character being shipped with her because clearly people just decide to ignore her voice lines about that character. No hate to that character it just people sure love applying their headcanons to replaced the canon in game story because fck I said it performative activism by shipping wlw ship and acting like it's something serious
yeah, well some people just create their own headcanons and pretend they're canon. it would be fine if they didn't push those headcanons on others like it's the only truth 😭 i'm just trying to ignore those, muting certain ship names helps a lot (though they still appear on my tl sometimes unfortunately).
ofc it's kind of sad that a lot of people agrees with this (that f and n are father and daughter or don't care about each other etc) but i like to think it's just a veeery vocal minority (or just that there're not that many people who think like this as it seems at least). idk if it is actually like this or not but even if it's not, who cares, honestly? the only important thing is how YOU interpret their relationship, not some randoms on twitter. they just miss out on peak, poor them
