not a follower, but i've been doing online school since 2nd grade and I'm currently in 10th so I know a lot! It's generally pretty flexible hours-wise but that depends on the system. Mine has set hours but even with set hours you can still join from your phone and be anywhere really. Curriculum-wise, it's pretty different but for big tests, it's pretty much the same. For me, I suck at learning because it's just very hard for me to pay attention and keep up with work, and I feel like I would have done much better in a classroom setting, but it depends on if your teachers are good, the good teachers are the best!! But it's extremely hard to make friends and I have no social life and horrible social skills, so yea that sucks. I hope this helps, good luck!! <3
i'm not in online school right now but i was in the past. it really works for some learners, others not so much. for me i found it did wonders for my time management, because everything was in an online calendar, and i could essentially get a bunch of homework done when i felt like it instead of having extremely limiting time constraints. for a few other people who were forced into it by COVID, I have heard it was very hard to keep attention on the class and certain things that really helped with learning only worked in person.
