hi hi!!! i'm really glad you enjoyed it!! i completely understand, i also really love combining my favourite things ;0; and this is actually really fun for me to get the chance to talk about, because i've been working on two lists of cure names for about a year now! (one where the rule is i have to make the cure name up, and the other where i have to decide which cure names from canon apply the most to everyone!) so to go through the same analysis with did with kaname, hiiro's name (as i understand) is written with the kanji for "one" and "bright or vibrant colours". there's a couple canon cure names that really match hiiro's in-game motifs; the most obvious being cure sword, who is also themed after a playing card spade, followed by cure scarlet (who coincidentally also has the kanji for castle in her surname, akagi, like hiiro doew), and then cure ace. cure ace is a really good comparison point, since her colour scheme is also red, and her emblem almost looks exactly like the stylised A for ALKALOID, if i'm remembering correctly. i think coming up with something that's better fitting than ace or scarlet is difficult, when both of those are kind of what his name means. i feel like the obvious choice is cure vermilion, which at first seems like it might be a little too long, but the more i've rotated it, the more it seems reasonable? it doesn't seem too clunky, and it has a good ring to it - definitely not weirder or less fitting than some canon names like flamingo, lemonade, or precious. i've left the kind of powers i think he would have out of this discussion, because i think the imagery in his name is definitely able to speak for itself when it comes to making a cure name, but considering his colour scheme, role in the group, and said imagery, i think he either has fire or light related powers - something kind of protag-like where all the others are controlling elements and they're just using sparkly beams, you know?
