rubs hands together ALRIGHTY... apologies in advance if this is a little chaotic and detached from canon but

first of all, i think you really could draw parallels between them in lc? kinda parroting what i've said in the tags of some tumblr post here but their ruthlessness, their tenacity, their insistence that their respective departments can handle things alone, and so on... of course their issues manifest differently - malkuth's through toxic positivity, gebura's through rage - but i genuinely think they have a lot in common. (remember how both their respective final missions involve clearing an ordeal? yeah.)
would they have gotten along in those days? i'm not sure. i personally imagine them as having been frenemies at most - and honestly, everybody was at their lowest in lc, so even if they were close i imagine they would've been each other's worst enablers, haha

lor on the other hand... i really could see them being good friends! of course we've got that one removed end credit cg with malk watching geb tussle with roland (gosh, they could be so SILLY together), but aside from the crumbs of them. being in the same room a few times. i do love the idea that in working on themselves and getting to know each other better, they really could come to understand each other well despite coming from such different walks of life.
anyway! as they spend time together (which i'm sure they have plenty of opportunity to! for starters i can see them definitely going to each other's floors for books with the places history and language overlap i.e. etymology), geb finds herself surprisingly endeared by malk's energy and enthusiasm, malk appreciates geb's honestly and composure and reliability AND, crucially, is also absolutely delighted at what a rude bitch she can be... you can see where this is going. i love you unconventional grumpy/sunshine dynamics

another parallel in my interpretations of them is that they both seem to place a ton of importance in what they can do for others, although malkuth craves validation and gebura never felt that much of a need for it - perhaps they could both learn from each other there?
and as for how they'd end up falling in love, i'll spare you my sappiest thoughts but ough, just thinking about favours becoming their love language when they've both been so fiercely insistent on not needing help...

some more scattered thoughts in no particular order:
-thinking about malkuth not considering herself human in her post-meltdown dialogue vs gebura wondering if she had a soul (ntm kali's connection with nothing there)... much for them to talk about imo
-the flashback in lor where malkuth is taking control and issuing orders. feverishly zooming in on gebura's "you bet..."
-since i am also very fond of kalicarmen (albeit more in a "GOD they were so doomed </3" way) i will simply say this. what if ms kali gebura redmist had a type.
-and lastly THE BETA CUTSCENE WHERE GEB RETURNS MALK'S PEN... it all comes back to the ducky pen i swear
