In terms of art tutorials, I would say how to draw female and male body parts. I always wanted to draw nsfw art but I’m too embarrassed to know where to start. 😭 I would love to learn from you! ❤️❤️
Oh sure I can give a few quick tips! I’ll see if I can write up something more detailed later, too. :)
-First, remember that bodies are not gendered. It’s going to help you a lot to think of people as not fitting into one of two boxes—anyone can look like anything! There are no rules! All of us look different and that’s what makes drawing people so much fun.
-To that point, anatomy “rules” are meant to be played with and stretched. If you want to draw people realistically, you’re going to have to stray from realism at times. If you look at my art, I draw heads somewhat smaller and legs a lot longer than they should be—because it fits my style and looks right to me.
-That being said, you should definitely use reference, even if you’re not drawing 1:1. I use reference for absolutely everything because I can’t visualize for shit—even if I’m drawing Sabine’s body, for example, completely from intuition (I can never find good refs for her sobs).
-Figure out what kind of nsfw art you want to make! For me it’s all about intimacy and adoration, so I draw a lot of kissing and embracing and eye contact. It’s important to me to show my characters’ personalities in the way they interact with each other.
-Start small! I was so embarrassed at first I didn’t share anything, and all I made was suggestive art with nooo visible genitals. I had a private account first where I only showed people I trusted, and shared more openly once I felt comfortable.
-More than anything, be comfortable. Don’t push yourself when you start and just take it easy—study your favorite artists’ work (especially if you’re worried about looking up IRL refs at first), make some doodles here and there. I promise it gets easier and there’s absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. ❤️
