Vibrates out of seat over genderbending headcanons influenced by societal norms
Omg for Dante I never thought to incorporate the shawl. I can imagine she would only wear certain ones during important events and use different fabrics along with headdress clips as subconscious signalling to the people
Olivine's modesty being nun inspired is one design I really like from the fanbase (specifically the NU Carnival Ladies artist) though I think Olivine's SSR would be way more covered up because fem!Olivine would have a higher pressure to stay modest
I was going to dump my headcanons but I should just make my own thread (≧▽≦) Please do talk about genderbend NUC!
Oh yeah I totally get why fem Oli would be a nun and being forced to be even more modest! Misogyny in Christianity has centuries of history and, considering that Faith in God of Klein is heavily inspired by Christianity I can see the similar sexist culture being replicated in it and nun Olivine having to work with her internal shame and pressure that the church bestowed her with
Buuuuuut I still prefer priestess Oli over nun Oli because of their hierarchical differences of their roles. I don't know much of church hierarchy but afaik there is a huge difference in power between a priest and a nun/monk: priest is someone who is in charge of a congregation, while nuns/monks, while being a part of a religious order, mostly serve and assist. They have less responsibilities than priests, which made me want to keep fem Oli in priesterhood, rather than making her a nun. And also the idea of fem Oli being having a lower religious title than her male counterpart just doesn't sit right with me, sorry 😬
While Olivine's internal conflicts center around his "shameful" desires while being someone who serves the God of Klein (like a monk would), his major issue is the weight of responsibilities he bears as the priest. He has the certain authority he has to maintain and that's what is forcing him to act "pure", altruistic and be an example for everyone. He can't afford being selfish because he has so many people looking up to him and the never-ending pressure coming from his fellows in clergy. All of that is what makes me want to see fem Olivine in the similar scenario with added context of being a woman with the higher religious hierarchy. Is she the only female priest in her order? How does her fellow religious workers treat her? And, most importantly, does she get the same opportunities to flash her humongous tits or no-
Ahem anyway yeah that's just where my brain goes when I think of fem Oli! Tbh I don't think you have to justify your fem interpretations of characters with any of that Deep Cultural bs I just spewed above. Or if your interpretation is based off similar analysis that is just different from mine. What I wrote about is just the way I came up with this interpretation, is all! If you enjoy nun Olivine then good for ya 👍 I'm not a hater I promise I just like thinking and talking abt shit lol
