Hi, the compliment non cross post anon here! The reason for non cross posting was exactly because I feared someone would read my ask and think "oh, that's creepy" but yeah, no, I don't think it was creepy at all or that maet wanted to reinforce that geon should keep pushing the responsible, mature, not-maknae vibes he got going on. I just wanted to talk about the possibility of geon taking it that way.
I think maet got a fairly high emotional iq and a good enough understanding if social cues that even when he goes off he never says anything that could be actually a problem or that could hurt someone. But it's fair to say that geon is sensitive and sometimes an overthinker, from the anecdotes about him.
Also, thank you for your answer, because it actually eased me a lot back then as I was tinhat ting over that interaction and got a bit too real about it.
Hi hi! Nah anon I totally get it and know you weren't at all insinuating anything creepy because I had thought about it in a similar way to you and then kinda kept ruminating, discussing with friends and then was able to come to the conclusions I came to which is how they ended up being positive! Because yeah I can only speak for myself but sometimes I forget the cultural differences and can also just over-analyse and need to take a step back and that was definitely one of those moments for me! I will say there will always be moments where people say things that hurt other people no matter if you're an idol or not so rather than saying Maet would 'never', it would be just more that, he generally wouldn't do so or intend to do so. And same with Geon and the term 'oversenstive' - I personally have disdain for that term because it suggests too much of something and I think that's unfair when so many situations are dependent on context and sensitivity can be an incredibly important and valuable thing, same with being a deep thinker - it just depends!
So I'm glad that my explanations eased your mind and helped, thank you for coming to me to talk about it and I'm really glad I could help with it because yeah... I really get you and where you were coming from.
