im absolutely gonna talk about this in my essay and lowkey i think it is lockdown + long covid brain damage + they didn't get to rebel as a teenager because they couldn't socialize. but also i have seen some people born in 1998, 1996, 1999 talking this way and i am GAGGED i guess there are people who have always had the cop in their head but it's just getting way way way more prevalent now and i'm worried fandom and rps spaces will turn into this uncritical hivemind of good vs bad. spooky. do yall remember that anon i had like a year ago who at first came into my inbox talking about being uncomfortable w gunwook fic and then later on admitted in their own life because they felt like they looked younger than their age (19 iirc) they were intensely uncomfortable with the idea of anyone being attracted to them? and they had internalized that if anyone was attracted to them, they were a pedophile??? that made me so sad. who told them that, like they were literally groomed into thinking that way. it's not okay!!!!!!!!
