OMGGG ASLKDJSLKDADK YEA MAYBE. because hc seemed a little shocked at seeing it too and think someone else also had the same idea. it did feel quite "intrusive" so i wouldn't be surprised. but i guess the editors thought it would be okay because they didn't catch hc's signal/mk's expression and cl did kind of save it?? If according to you, everything markhyuck push-pull is for entertainment, then going by that logic, them saying old married couple is also just for show 😭
i mean if we're going to go that hard you can argue that EVERYTHING is gay4pay and their existence is just characters to entertain us and is "just for show". but i don't think that's the point. i didn't i meant /everything/ is for show and sorry if it came across that way i guess. i think dynamics irl will always have a way of translating through and they clearly enjoy playing their games. but my point (which may or may not be real) is that they don't ACTUALLY fight all the time and they care for each other a lot and probably show this affection in many different ways, and i think that's a fairly reasonable take.

Mk and hc both have said the reason y mk doesn’t show too much affection to hc is because hc takes it and becomes annoying with it lol. Time and again hc has admitted he does things because mk does not like it. That’s just their tom-jerry equation.
actually i have a hot take on this. i know haech has said verbatim "i don't like ppl who chase after me" and obviously that would mean mk HOWEVER i think "tom and jerry" concepts and "love-hate" etc. between kpop couples are mostly for show and entertainment/variety show purposes. even though it's a great narrative, it goes back to my headcanon that they actually get along really well and are closer than we think offstage, because a tom-jerry/love-hate relationship like this isn't as feasible irl. i mean of course it's cute and it can work but it's not as realistic, i think. furthermore, we have evidence because in those more private interviews / moments they're always like "rather than love hate we're more like an old married couple", which i think speaks for itself :)

yesssss. i swear this is also what truly keeps me in markhyuck jail. for a long time i thought they had beef and didn't paying attention because i bought what everyone was selling about them being rivals and just tolerating etc etc but then one day i caught wind that they're kind of like... always together? like they work in two different kpop groups together and then even after that theyre not sick of each other and hang out after work etc etc and i was like ???? what ... is.... this? and then i found out more about their dynamics so.... yeah, im definitely convinced XD

smth that gets me is the all those clips that we can see they arent rly sure if the camera are catching them up front or when they have their backs turned and mk rly indulges hc touchiness way more than "normal" like that the unity i think behind that mk has his back turned to the camera and hc not only hugs him but also tucks himself in his side AND very obviously kisses his neck and mk doesnt even flinch... that was crazy

lol what also blows my mind is that even tho mk jerks away sometimes when hc hugs him those reactions are very obviously conscious and purposeful and not actually instinctual ? like it sounds crazy but thera are probably even more instances of mk Not flinching away or pushing hc off him like. hc lightly pulling mk arm up and mk lifting it up so hc can tuck himself there OR hc hugging mk and just staying there and mk not doing anyth abt it and even hc grabbing his butt and mk not flinching in the slightest 😭

also, the way mk obviously makes an effort to not reciprocate the affection in front of the cameras and appears to be "mean" exclusively to hc but when directly questioned abt it when hc is not around, he gets visibly upset like ☹️ and firmly states that hes not seriously mean to hc, that they are just joking around and dont rly fight eo
THISSS ITS THISSSSS^^^^ the way mk makes an EFFORT to push him away and i've noticed he's almost wary of the cameras. liek the times you'll see hc CLINGING to him are the times his back's faced to the camera or he's just looking somewhere else. and yessss the way he even commented on that cat video and made a point to bring it up in a live TT not to mention what others have noticed is that even when he pushes him away or says something "teasing" he always looks back or is super mindful of hc and keeps glancing after him afterwards 🥺 so i am totallyyyyy a firm believer that they're so so much closer than they appear (and that's saying something)
