this is a good question but i don't really have any real pet peeves that come to mind? i'm also afraid that it would just make it seem like i'm punching down on niches lol. there are things that don't do anything for me, specifically, but i wouldn't call them pet peeves, really.

yes! get into a ship you really like and try being brave with poses. look at other's art and think about what you want to achieve (try being realistic with your current skill level). you can try drawing poses that only shows one half of the other character (if that's easier) and then gradually work your way up. try focusing on having fun and don't beat yourself up over everything. try going at your own pace and appreciate your work
