hellooo! and yeah ofc i am 😁 i think we’ve established early on that mark is an anxious person and his breaking point wouldve been when jaem left and it eventually wouldve lead to their break up. since this is omegaverse, the headcanon of mates breaking up is being away from each other long enough that the claim mark fades/disappears…. so it wouldve taken an entire arc just to cover that and how they would get back together…

theres a few reasons i Decided not to include it and its not bc ppl were saying they dont want the angst anymore or anything like that cuz i wouldve Loved to continue it haha,,, but bc i feel like it wouldve strayed from the original plot which is about marknomin and them pursuing jeno. i did think things through and a lot of these “loose ends” or “plot holes” regarding markmin are going to be answered if i Ever decide to write the prequel,, idk if anyone noticed but it has Been Implied that markmin already broke up once before and i think thats also part of the reason i didnt break them up in au… i did show glimpses of things in Their perspectives but i kept it short bc i want this au to mostly focus on jeno,,, i did think of an angst plot but then again, it wont fit in this current au so im scraping it off.

some of the angst actually got tweaked a little bit from my original plans bc they either didnt fit anymore or it just didnt make sense.

im not sure if you’ve read huong’s (jentokki) aus but she has a handful of angsty aus…. and TBH i actually havent read a lot of angst within nct…. i also cant think of any on the top of my head but give me some time and i will link all under this tweet !! thank you for reading my au and i hope ur enjoying it so far ^^ it’s almost ending 🤍
