Q&A for the Miyacest Mini Reverse Bang 2024

on the writers sign up form, it asks if we wanna work with another writer. is this meant to ask if we are okay with a writing partner or should it be asking if we are okay with more than one artist and creating multiple pieces?

Dear anon miyacester, what it means is are you willing to work with another writer and the same artist. The way you work together is up to you, whether you write two pieces between you, collaborate on a piece, or write related works. In our interest check, there were twice as many writers as artists interested, so it is to help make sure that writers can be matched.

so for a reverse mini bang does an artist submit a beginning of their piece first and then the authors pick ones they would be interested in writing for and then mods make the pairs? i only did a normal bang once im trying to understand the process

Dear anon! Apologies for the delay in response!

Yes, that is the way it works. The artists will submit drafts for a claims period. The authors will then nominate the projects they are interested in working with, and then the mods will create the teams. It's definitely different from a normal bang in approach, but reverse bangs are a lot of fun :)

can i ask for the thought process behind including playlists/moodboards in the art section? i assume it's with the intent of getting the most amount of participation, but it feels like the criteria for art vs writing is incredibly unbalanced, not to mention the variable workload and expectations within the overarching "art" category. especially with the concept of a reverse bang in mind, writing something based off a playlist/moodboard is very different than art, and a lot more complicated.
