haha i still havent finished reading the novel but i cant get lactating crown prince xie lian out of my head 🥺 when he was about 13-14 years old his small boobs started leaking milk all of a sudden! he couldn't figure out why and was incredibly embarrassed to tell anyone because what if they think he broke his cultivation and got pregnant by a man at such a young age too? wouldn't everyone shame him? so scared he started folding and stuffing small towels in his clothes so he wouldnt leak through his clothes. what he didnt take into consideration was that it made his fresh tiny boobs look bigger to everyone else around him and the male staff at the palace would get boners at the sight of him but he was too worried to notice :( he comforted himself saying it would eventually pass, that it was probably a result of puberty hormones but he just started leaking more and more overtime so he had to ask feng xin and mu qing for help lessen the milk after a while even though the embarrassment and shame made him cry a little bit :(( he started to bottle and hide some milk in his free time too because he has always so sad that all that milk was going to waste but guess what when he met little hong hong-er and brought him to taicang mountain he finally found a good use for his milk!
ohh omg, poor baby.. the mountain is like a little safe haven for them, away from those prying eyes in the palace and the kids who are hurting hong'er when xie lian first comes across him :(
seeing that hong'er is so malnourished gives him the idea to share his milk and it's an easy enough process; curling up together on a mound of pillows xie lian brought with him, holding the container to hong'er's lips while he gulps it down greedily. when he's full, they take a little nap with the afternoon breeze drifting around them gently and the sun keeping them warm, as well as their arms wound around one another :') xie lian can't bring himself to worry even a tiny bit now that he has this little friend to care for <3 so cute
