How are you able to play rhythm games without hearing the right song? Sorry I’m so curious lol 😅

DON’T APOLOGIZE i’ve gotten this question quite a bit (alongside people asking how i’m able to play with mv on) ever since i posted the silly wah wah world video so i’ll give a legitimate answer;

when it comes to playing with MVs on, i do it for a few reasons. oftentimes, the MV will be darker than the lite mode background and it makes the notes easier to see as they fall. this doesn’t hold much water for MVS like wah wah world or ultra c, but for this specific mmj song (snow white princess) the black bars and overall darker filter on the MV makes the notes easier to hit. additionally, i have a really bad habit of letting my eyes bounce around the screen whenever i’m playing easier charts in lite mode so having the mv playing in the backdrop keeps my peripheral vision busy. this point won’t resonate with everybody and is definitely a learned skill for some people, so take it with a grain of salt. this is just my personal rhythm game habit

now as for the actual SONG…. it’s a learned skill through and through LMFAO 😣 pjsekai has this horrible awful terrible issue where sometimes the songs aren’t fully synced up with the chart OR the chart has notes that don’t make any type of sense (Shoutout random spam in master charts. Hate you guys.) because of this, i’ve trained myself to be able to completely disconnect my hearing when i’m playing rhythm games. it seems VERY counter productive I KNOW… i don’t do it ALLL of the time but when i’m streaming stuff on stationhead or listening to a podcast as i play, i don’t like hearing the ingame audio overlap with whatever i’m listening to.

in some cases (like this video), i’ve heard the cover/correct song enough times to where i can replay it entirely in my head with the proper timing. when this happens, i don’t register the zb1 song i’m streaming at all. ultimately it all just comes down to experience

TLDR; i play with 3d/2dmvs because it darkens the background and helps my focus. i’m able to play without the right song because i disconnect audio from what i’m actually seeing. also, the charts i’ve posted are piss easy LMAO
